Each year, our team at Fresh Ideas & Solutions tries to give back to our community in different ways.

This year, we have 3 different campaigns happening:
Food Drive for Friends In Need Food Bank Every year, our team comes together to gather food and other everyday necessities for the local food bank. So far this year, our team has donated 30.6kg of food and we're still collecting! The food drive is always close to our hearts. As members of the local food industry, we know the value of good food and how food can change a persons life. Food insecurity is a real problem and we know that our team can help our community when we need to the most. In the past, our team members have volunteered with the local food bank and some have had to lean on the local food bank during their time of need. It's our turn to give back and our group sure takes pride in the effort! Santa's Candy Helpers This is another annual tradition at Fresh Ideas. Santa has asked our team to help him create a special gift for the boys and girls he visits with at the Maple Ridge Christmas Hamper. Our team fills these sweet bags with gummy frogs and bears for Santa to give out at events to wish a "Hoppy Holidays and Beary Christmas"! This year, we have 800 bags that will be donated to a number of local charities to bring holiday smiles to faces across the Lower Mainland. It's a little something fun that the FIS team likes to donate to make the season even more jolly. | Christmas Cards for Canadian Armed Forces and Seniors This campaign is new this year and was inspired by the message from the Canadian Armed Forces about the service members who are overseas for the holidays. On the heels of Remembrance Day, our team at Fresh Ideas wanted to make sure that the people keeping the world safe are feeling loved and cared for this holiday season when they can't be with the ones they care for most. So what do we do? We have been writing Christmas Cards! These lovely Christmas cards are being filled with wonderful messages of holiday cheer and appreciation, and will be sent to the Canadian Forces to be distributed to those members serving overseas. While we were inspired to send holiday messages overseas, we were also thinking about those close to home who may not be receiving many holiday messages this year. So we have also been writing Christmas cards for a local retirement home in Maple Ridge for the local seniors to receive some love and wishes when they may not have family around. Our FIS team wants to make sure that everyone feels loved over the holidays. The team at Fresh Ideas wants to continue to spread Christmas cheer and we hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season! |
